Industrial Engineer students at KU Leuven are given the unique opportunity to follow an internship in a supervised process. In the middle of the Corona pandemic, we decided it was time to start a new challenge. In the past few years, many customers asked us if we could also supply them with complete machines instead of only automation. Seen the limited commercial opportunities during the first Corona wave, we created our new department: DB Automation.
DB Automation will be responsible for machine-development. We have invested in a modern machining center where we can fabricate, assemble and test our creations.
In the six months since, we secured three orders for automated NC controlled contour milling machines, flying saw and robot manipulator. All machines are controlled with State-of-the-art SIEMENS Servo systems and/or FESTO pneumatic positioning devices. Programming is done with SIEMENS T-processors, kinematics package and integrated safety
Another three developments are in the pipeline to be ordered as well, including a motor test stand. So from now on, the DB-Engineering & DB-Automation tandem can be your partner for your entire automation, from design to fully operational machines.
